Installation Instructions
Gutter-Champ is easy to install and fits into any 5” or 6" “K” style gutter. The only “tool” you should need is a common, serrated kitchen bread knife to cut, trim or miter Gutter-Champ.

Gutter-Champ slides into your gutter and sits down inside your gutter as shown.

The shortest side of the Gutter-Champ triangle profile, which measures approx. 3.5", should go against the "back" of the gutter (AKA the side that contacts fascia board)

Simply tuck the front point of the Gutter-Champ triangle shape into the front lip of your gutter (as shown) to complete installation.

Repeat this procedure for each section of gutter by simply butting Gutter-Champ end to end until finished. Each section of Gutter-Champ should fit snugly into gutter so it stays in place while protecting your homes gutter system.

Gutter-Champ may be installed either over or under the gutter hanger / spike keeping the following simple do's and don'ts in mind:

DO Clean all gutters and downspout THOROUGHLY prior to installing Gutter-Champ. Check to see that all gutters and downspouts, standpipes etc. are free flowing and running properly. This will ensure that your gutter system and Gutter-Champ will function properly together for years to come.

DO NOT install Gutter-Champ in such a way that it is over compressed down into the gutter! Over compression may reduce water flow or create a “dam effect” which can greatly reduce the performance of Gutter-Champ. If installing Gutter-Champ under the gutter hanger or gutter spike (nail with or without ferrell) results in compressing Gutter-Champ more than 25% you must first either cut or notch Gutter-Champ and fit into your gutter. A simple slit about ¾ of the way through Gutter-Champ is all that is needed to slip over gutter spikes. It is not necessary to cut each section of Gutter-Champ and fit between. You can set Gutter-Champ on the gutter and rotate up onto the edge of your roof to line up the location of gutter spikes for making your slit cuts.

DO NOT over stretch Gutter-Champ when pulling under gutter hanger or gutter spike! Gutter-Champ is sold in either 4' (47.75” actual size) or 1m (38.5”actual size) lengths. If you are not sure how much you have stretched Gutter-Champ during installation, you can measure the section after it is installed to be sure. Overstretching Gutter-Champ can cause gaps between installed sections once Gutter-Champ eventually returns to its factory pre cut length. Gaps create unprotected areas in you gutter. Gaps may fill with leaves or other debris and significantly reduce the performance of Gutter-Champ. Take care to always install Gutter-Champ properly.
